Senior Level Swim Team |
|
Green (five and six year olds) Focus on new five and six year olds that are ready to join the team. Focus is on freestyle and backstroke skills. Practices two days a week for 40 minutes.
RedSwimmers focus on developing Freestyle and Backstroke skills. Practice is offered four days week for 45 minutes
WhiteSwimmers focus on learning Breaststroke Skills while reviewing Freestyle and Backstroke technique. Practices are offered four days a week for 45 minutes
BlueSwimmers focus on learning butterfly with the goal of completing an 80-yard I-M before moving to Bronze level groups. Practices are offered four days a week for 45 minutes.
Developmental / and "C" Competitions Swimmers may attend area Novice or Developmental swim meets. The season culminating meet is the "C" Championships. Swimmers may attend Unclassified and Slower than BB meets at the discretion of the Head Coach.

Bronze I
Introductory group of the age group swim team. Begins the basics of learning interval swimming. Majority of practice time is dedicated towards stroke improvement. Practices offered four days a week for one hour.
Bronze II
Silver I & II
Swimmers must meet qualifying time standards to join group. Stroke drills and skills are still focused, however, swimmers become more exposed to training. Practices offered four or five days a week for one hour and 15 minutes.
Gold
Swimmers must meet qualifying time standards to enter group. Swimmers are still learning to refine strokes, but a little more emphasis is spent on training. Practices are offered four or five days a week for one hour and 30 minutes.
Junior
Swimmers must meet qualifying time standards to enter group. The primary focus is on training and advanced skill development. Strength conditioning is introduced at this level.
Age Group Team Competitions Swimmers may attend a variety of swimming competitions including Unclassified, Slower than BB, BB and Up, and Faster Than “A” Swim Meets. Culminating Championship Meets include Junior Olympics, STAGS, and TAGS. Swimmers may compete at Sectional Level Championships at the Discretion of the Head Coach.

Senior
This is an introductory level for swimmers who are joining the team for the first time while attending high school or you have not met the pre-national or national group time standards. Major emphasis is on skill development and aerobic training for competition at the high school level. Practices are offered in the fall / winter four - five day a week for one hour and 30 minutes. In the summer workouts may be offered five - six days a week, including some two-a-day workouts. Swimmers are also exposed strength conditioning training.
Pre-National
Swimmers must meet qualifying time standards to enter group. The primary focus is on training, skill development, and strength conditioning. Practices are offered in the fall four - five days a week. Summer practices may be offered five - six days a week, including two-a- day workouts. Workouts run one hour and 45 minutes on average.
National
Swimmers must meet qualifying time standards to enter group. The primary focus is on training, advanced skill development and strength conditioning. Practices are offered in the fall four - six days a week. Summer practices may be offered five or six days a week, including two-a-day workouts. Workouts run one hour and 45 minutes to - 2 ½ hours on average.
Senior Level Competitions
Swimmers may attend a variety of swim meets during the year. During the high school season the primary focus is on attending meets with their high school teams. Culminating Championship Meets include: High School Districts, Regional, or State Meets. USA Swimming: JO’s, STAGS, Sectionals, Junior Nationals, US Nationals, US Open, Grand Prix and World Cup Swim Meets.
